Gift Guide for 1-2 Year Olds
Toys have the power to inspire meaningful play that support’s a child’s development, intrinsic motivation, creativity, and problem solving skills. Our goal is to limit toys with flashing lights and sounds that “do the work“ for the child or overly stimulate their senses, which can alter a child’s attention and dopamine release.
These toys were carefully selected for 12-24 month year olds unique development, growth, interests, and capabilities. Most of these toys can be enjoyed in older years as well, and with siblings.
SKOOLZY PEGS - these have been loved by both my girls for years. You can even play with them in the bath tub. Stack, then build patterns and count.
TEA SET - nontoxic, recycled plastic that can be easily washed.
QUIET BOOK - awesome for building fine motor skills and language; this has saved me on car rides, flying, or entertaining a toddler at sister’s gymnastics class. I bought two different versions that have both lasted us six years.
